Multi-tasking

Ok, now this is just pathetic! I spend my day in administration, juggling my job responsibilities, and I can't even manage my blog plus Facebook! I don't know why I bother with these things.

Yes, I did succumb to the pressure and signed on to Facebook. I tried to resist, but who am I kidding? I love to play with new stuff :)

My vacation was a wonderful time away, but now I want another one. Why does life seem to be busier now that I'm home? We had 6 days with Brent, Nikki and Josiah (who is WAY cute!!) and it was so nice to see them. We went to Symphony of Fire on Wednesday night to see the Chinese fireworks, we went to Birchwood Dairy for ice cream, Ocean Park Pizza, the ABC for fresh blueberry pie...all the stuff I don't have in Edmonton. It was wonderful. Oh yeah, Nikki got me to watch Bride & Prejudice with her and I have to admit, as cheesy as it was, it was actually pretty entertaining! Did I mention how much I enjoyed cuddling my little nephew??!

Then we went to Kelowna and spent 4 days with Scott, Carla, Brady, Megan and Caedyn, and that was a blast! We hung out with the kids most of Saturday when Scott & Carla were at a wedding, so that was busy but they make it fun. Megs and I jumped on the trampoline LOTS and I took little videos on my camera of them doing "flips," pretty much a handspring but they're just learning. Brady had his 9th birthday while we were there and Carla made him a Lego cake - SO cute and very yummy, and Scott found him a Wii to play with...dangerous territory! I don't know who will play more - Scott or Brady?! Caedyn is growing more strong-willed every day, but she is so adorable.

We stayed at a hotel for the last 3 days to unwind a little before coming home, went mini-golfing at Scandia, out for dinner to the Cactus Club (I think?) and had the most amazing cedar plank salmon that I think I've ever had. Delicious! I went shopping at Sport Check for some new running shoes and when I walked in I knew I was in BC when I saw all the Canuck clothing...so I bought a t-shirt too :) I had to buy new shoes because I've started running with my neighbour and a couple of her friends, so it was motivation for me. Spend the money on the shoes and you have to make use of them, right?

Anyway, there's an update of my vacation and it is nice to be home, although I really miss the mountains. I'm really missing BC today because Vancouver is going to be 28 degrees today while Edmonton might hit a measly 17! So not fair, but what can ya do?
